the results

well, i didn't win. ironically, a korean national won the women's division of the US championships. so, a korean is the US champion. does that make any sense?

i lost to her in the quarter final round....meaning i finished in the top 8. yay. she was the former captain for the korean team twice. she's fucking amazing. she is also our assistant coach for the national team. i'm not sure how we're going to work out the dynamics. i'm captain, but very wary of stepping on her toes since she's our assistant coach. this should be an interesting year.

NCKF (northern california kendo federation) women's team lost in the finals against SCKF (southern california kendo federation). we didn't get creamed by them like last time in '05 (maybe cuz i wasn't there since i was finishing up my last couple of months in japan.....ha! jk) it was actually very close. we lost by one win. if that makes sense to anyone.

i'm apprehensive about the coming year since I'll be captain. i'm actually stressing out. just a couple more weeks of sweet freedom before training begins...


i signed my soul over to the devil and had my kohai (she's my junior in kendo) open up a facebook account for me to get connected. actually, she offered and i reluctantly obliged. i swear. what a fascinating world i have entered.

i am so lazy these days, i can't even remember the last time i uploaded photos. damn....i need to get with it cuz this blog is starting to look bare.
