recovery

this week, i've been pretty down mentally...perhaps it's cuz i'm still dealing with my cat's death. it sucks. i seem to be projecting my negativity and offending people. what else is new. i seems that i never cease to offend.

i'd load new pictures on...but, my friend therese still has my camera....SINCE NEW YEAR'S EVE. my fault for being a crackhead and leaving it there.

i'm sick. i took the day off of work today. maybe i'm just mentally sick...i went to kendo practice all week though! but, i've been slacking on my morning workouts. i know i'll die this sunday at practice. fuuuuuuck...

anyway, things my kids said this week that made me smile:

we were walking outside to the park. i had to carry the first aid box and the sign in sheet.

divya: can i hold your hand, shannon?
me: i would, but i don't have any free hands, sweetheart.
divya: i wish i had another hand on my tummy so i could hold things.
me: hahahaha...that's a good idea, divya.

during circle time, or story time.
jody (my coworker): now, what did you like about the story?
kids pipe in and share their thoughts.
esha: the sharks and the fish.
(the story was about leprechauns)

we were outside playing at the park.

ryan: shannon! shannon! i found a ladybug!
shannon: cool...don't hurt it now.
ryan: i know. i won't.

5 minutes later.

ryan: shannon! kyle tried to take the ladybug from me and hurt it!
kyle: (screaming cuz this kid can't control the decible of his voice) NO I DIDN'T!! I WOULDN'T TRY TO HURT MOTHER NATURE!!!!

this kid is 5...and he straight up said mother nature.

comedy.

that's about it for now.

lol...kids say the darndest things. they're just naturally comedic.

i must find this orange and cream kit kat and try it! hmm..i was in a huge candy store today and didn't come across any kit kats. then again, i wasn't really looking for them.

thanks for the nice comments, shannon. maybe they should have a shannon-flavored kit kat. because you're so sweet. bah-dum-chh!

Hey Shan, I love the stories about your kids. It always puts a smile on my face!

Don't worry about the package. All in good time. And I will be out of town for the first two weeks of April (my parents are coming to visit) so don't mail my package to arrive then because the post office here only holds things for 7 days before they chuck 'em. Bastards!
