california will execute its third death row inmate in two months tomorrow after midnight. the story of the victim i read in the paper really moved me.
she was only 17 and actually quite stunning. she was a straight A student, sang in the church choir, always helped friends, and to top it off....donated her time to charities like the special olympics. she was voted for something at her school for being so charitable....or some shit like that. she was able to play music by ear, and was so compassionate, that her parents said she cried at 3 years old when she found out that beethoven was deaf.
she was dating a boy....who was also dating another boy behind her back. other boy decided to get revenge. lured her to a mall parking lot and into his car. the boy's cousin began to beat her in the front seat while the boy tried to strangle her from the back with a belt. she fought them off and the belt broke. oh, well....so, cousin decides to bludgeon her to death with a hammer. her face was unrecognizable. what to do with a dead body in the front seat? hey! let's rape her and stab her, JUST to make sure she's really dead and see what it's like to fuck a dead person. then, let's mutiliate her body and throw it somewhere. authorities said they had never seen such a brutal crime in that county at that time.
i saw her picture and read about her story and it just broke my heart. why do things like this happen to such good people? she sang in the church choir and volunteered for the special olympics at 17, for chrissakes.

There are some sick people out there...I hope they never breed.
Instead of the dealth penalty, maybe we could instigate some sort of "if you're a violent horrible criminal, then we'll neuter you" policy?
I've always been a fan of torture devices of 14th century europe...
you guys both have great ideas! i vote for neutering and torture devices...
