ew eczema
i'm not sure if i wrote about this before...but, in mie-ken, there are A LOT of kids with really bad eczema. it looks painful sometimes. it covers their WHOLE body...you can't help but pretend to not pay attention to the scaly, patchy red and brown splotches all over their face, neck, chest, arms, and legs. man....that must SUCK.
we've all been wondering if this is due to the lovely pollution in yokkaichi, or if this is a phenomon that is evident all over japan. kids with really bad eczema. i wish i could give them some sort of cream or something. it's so sad.

eczema is horrible. i had it as a child and needed steroid creams to combat it. i still use one of the ointments today to prevent flare-ups. sad, huh? it could be due to genetics and the environment. my mother has sensitive skin and so do my brother and i. it's better now that i'm older, but boy, i remember how unhappy i was in elementary/middle school.
shit, i spelled it wrong. i am fob. thanx for pointing that out, eva! also, i had eczema as a kid too. sucked...but not all over my face!
i honestly think it's something in the water. the chemical pollution in japan is horrible. poor kids.
