i don't understand the world.

a mother is convicted for killing her baby by putting her in the microwave.

this crime has really disturbed me and i try to make sense of it everyday. this man is clearly evil. why are there people like this in the world? a nine year old boy is tortured and raped on video tape as the tormentor recites biblical passages and tells the boy the devil is here? he later accidentally shoots the boy in the abdomen in front of his younger sister. as he writhes in excruciating pain, the killer decides that the boy can't be saved so he blows the boy's head off.....all in front of the younger sister who was also tortured and raped. oh, and the dude made the kids perform sexual acts on each other.

in a way, it's a good thing the boy is not alive. no matter how much love is in his life, he'd be a fucked up adult with serious issues. the girl is definitely going to have problems. this is not okay.

i don't understand this world...this universe. what on earth did these poor children do to deserve this? how does the karmic circle work here?

i'll try not to be bummed out for the rest of the day now.
