time is ticking...
sorry it's been a minute since my last blog. i've been busy with a whole bunch of good bye parties, eating out, meeting with friends, etc....everything BUT packing to go home. why am i such the procrastinator? i dunno.
so, ever since june, i've been doing nothing but eating out and getting fat and not working out as hard. this is not gonna be good for training. oh, well. gotta start somewhere.
my gracie left on monday. beth left july 9th. i saw alice for the last time last sunday. i'll probably see ruth and jenni one last time before me and ruth take off. the crew is disbanding. it's sad. it's difficult to come to terms with the fact that this whole thing is all coming to an end. despite my constant bitching about this and that, this job is pretty plush. i got to dick around for 2 years, meet some WONDERFUL friends for life, hopefully teach something useful (god forbid it be English) to my imcompetent students, travel, lose and find love, get in touch with my funky roots, and become more of an adult. i'm a big girl now! then why do i still feel like i'm 16?
although i'll be moving out of my place by aug 3rd....i won't be home until the very end of august. when i do, please be ready to smother me with love cuz i'll need it.

Interesting that when you are stuck with something you are begging to be let out of, when you are finally let out of it, you sorta don't want to leave. Well anyways, I'll be in southern cal, but will be back periodically for some kendo events (testing) and holidays. Sorry for my overly long comment, but maybe I'll "smother you with love" when I see you then.
