i've always thought i belonged in the 60s. just imagining what it would have been like to live through such a politically charged time moves me. everyone came together. well, most everyone. the people came together for one cause. to bring the kids back home from vietnam. there were high profile figures that had such compassionate messages. of course, they were eliminated...

don't really see political activism on that level anymore. hundreds of thousands gathering together on the steps of the capital singing lennon's song, "give peace a chance." how magical.

although it annoys me when i see when couples can't stand to spend a moment apart, i can see that john lennon and yoko ono really loved each other. they were in love. they were artists in love. that's what i crave. to connect with someone on that spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical level. must've been nice.

i love the beatles. i love lennon and harrison. too bad the best ones are dead...
