i'm a cal grad and i don't know how to spell the word geyser. or rather, i forgot how to spell it. i don't even know if you have to italicize the word, put quotes around it, or just single quotes. i'm an idiot.....and, i'm trying to go to grad school? there's absolutely no hope.
i love chocolate. to quench my insatiable appetite for chocolate, i have turned to organic dark chocolate. i realized that i must be a grown up now because i like my coffee black, and i like dark chocolate. i remember back in the day, when my family would receive boxes of sees chocolates for christmas, i would always avoid the dark chocolates. my my my how times have changed....i'm a big girl now!
a big brat.
you know....everyone has the "cheap" friend. the one who will always short the bill. the one who will NEVER buy a round a drinks. and, as we begin to pair off, these cheap friends usually become the "cheap couple" instead. i KNOW that everyone knows what i'm talking about here...I HATE THAT SHIT!!!
for example, my best friends and i will always buy a round of drinks each when we go out. most of the time, two rounds. no questions asked. however, the last person in the party has already been treated to about 2-3 drinks by then, and probably reasons that he/she has had enough and decides not to buy a round because THEY have had enough to drink. now, if this happens one or two times, fine. understandable. even three times and i'll let it slide. however....EVERYTIME?! come on now....that shit ain't cool. some people....
shout out to my girl, lynds. i look in love, huh? hmm....i'll let you know when the wedding is.
lastly, another story about one of my kids. i was reading a book to three of my kids. it was about peace and different cultures. in the back of the book, the illustrator drew many faces of children of all races. naturally, there were some asian children in it with small ass eyes. now, the week prior, we had learned about physical disablitlies. this included blindness. my little girl, jeanette, pointed to the asian kids and said, "ms. shannon. these kids are blind, right?"
oh, man.
end of story.
