spring break
yaaaaaay. it's spring break. yaaaaay. and, where am i going to be? at school doing nothing but sitting on my ass and complaining. oh, and kendo club in the mornings.
for some odd reason, maybe due to spring fever or something, takeru has gone on a rampage in my apartment. over the last week, he has managed to destroy two toilet paper rolls and rip off pieces of the outer layer from the doors that cover my closet. it's not fun when you go to the bathroom only to find a pile of shredded fluff under what once was the toilet paper roll. perhaps, he is acting out because i have gone away for the last two weekends. he freaks out whenever i start packing. he just seems to know. and, he also knows when i'm pissed at him. i yell, "takeru! bad boy!!" and he makes sure to avoid me. he knows what's up.
well, thank goodness he'll be going home to america with me soon on april 5th. speaking of which, i will be returning home for the 2nd round tryouts for the women's national kendo team. i remember having to undergo the same procedure 3 years ago for the last world championships. that time, it was held in chicago. this time, i'll be heading on over to new jersey. yay. from what i remember, i never felt more pressure and tension before in my life. well, i take that back. i remember shitting bricks at the last worlds when my match was the deciding match during the team division against korea. of course, i happened to be paired up with their best woman. i don't recall ever being more scared of a woman before besides my own mother. we're all scared of our moms when they get "don't you fuck with me" look in their eyes. anyhow, i'm NOT looking forward this AT ALL. plus, my body is in shambles...my elbow and right heel are killing me. i'm getting fucking old for this shit, man.
okay, enough complaining. um...went snowboarding last weekend in niigata with grace, ruth, alice, and jeff. i finally got the hang of it! yay! i can't wait to get my own equipment now.
um..i also ordered the new blue ipod mini. can't wait to have that in my hands and scream with glee for that moment of instant gratification. the euphoria will probably last about 15 minutes. well, it took me about 5 days to get over my ipod shuffle. why do i need both? i don't....i'm just feeling the void in my heart with frivalous apple products.
you know....it alarms me when takeru just stares like he's looking at something that i can't see. well, he's never refused to go into any room, so i must be okay.
i'll miss takeru when cockroach season starts again. i remember the shock of seeing my first cockroach last year. feel so violated......like when a gross old man looks at a high school chick in japan with that look. march 27th, to be exact. fucking japan....spring brings the beautiful cherry blossoms and piece of shit cockroaches galore. well, since takeru will be gone, i can strategically place my cockroach traps and bait all over without him batting them around. in fact, i think i'll bomb the place the day that i leave. i'm going to pull a hiroshima on their asses.

My first cockroach experience was during my first week in Japan back in 2003 (seems like such a long time ago!). It was raining. I got home late. And I just saw that bastard sitting on my kitchen floor. He scurried off somewhere so I had to bug bomb in order to smoke him out of his hiding place. I HATE cockroaches.
