at da club
so, on saturday night (9/11/04) we went out clubbing in nagoya. it was me, beth, brian, grace, ruth, tom, jenni, and alice. pretty good group. i had no complaints. we decided to hit up a couple of bars in the beginning, then the club. we ended up going to club J-Max. let me tell you, it was one of the most retarded clubs ever. it was HILARIOUS.
for some reason, it was just one of those nights that i couldn't drink that much. i dunno why. the music sucked ass. there were two rooms. a techno type room and a hip-hop room. we stayed in the hip-hop room until it closed at 3am. afterwards, we were forced to go to the techno room.
this techno room deserves a paragraph all it's own. this is the STEREOTYPICAL JAPANESE TEHCNO ROOM where they have the synchronized dancing and shit. when they started playing the techno version of "what's going on" by for non-blondes, they started it. everyone began dancing this thing that kind of resembled the macarena. key word: kind of. but, you get the gist. i started screaming and jumping around. the j-guys loved it. clubbing in japan is hilarious. i guess the good part is that everyone is having fun; too bad they can't dance worth shit. whatever. as long as they're having a good time and amusing me.
afterwards, we all crashed at tom's place in nagoya somewhere. i was really worried about takeru (my cat) because it was the first time my baby was going to be home alone over the night. when i got home, i found him alright, but my shoji screen (rice paper screen) not. he had ripped a hole in it. this is the second hole. mother fucker. i'm going to have to get that shit fixed before i leave japan. oh, well. at least he didn't shit everywhere. either that or i havn't found it yet.
um, back to school. class 1G. this week, i'm starting to feel sick again because of clubbing on saturday. i have a sore throat and a headache. anyhow, class 1G is one of the two classes that has boys in it. in seat number 2, sits a painfully shy boy named Atsushi. he seems to not understand a word that i say to him. i try to talk to him and help him, but i can tell that he shuts me out. i've given up on him long ago. he's not a bad looking kid. he seems to get along well with the other boys. i'm not sure how well he gets along with the girls. probably not bad cuz the girls in that class are pretty sweet.
apparently, he's very sensitive. the teacher that i team teach with in that class, Mr. Nishizuka, is also the baseball coach. Atsushi belongs to the baseball club. Apparently, during one of the games over the summer, Mr. Nishizuka wanted to put a bench warmer up to bat or whatever cuz they were winning. Atsushi was devasted and began crying and mumbling to himself. he seems to have difficulty expressing himself and putting his thoughts into words. whatever. in my book, a 15-16 year old boy or KID for that matter shouldn't be crying over shit like that. WTF? i mean, he's a good kid. he just needs some help. some social help. i won't give up on him then, cuz i know some of you reading this are thinking that i'm a heartless bitch for just making fun of this kid. whatever. i'll try my best to help this 15 year old crybaby.
aur revoir
