that would be me posing in front of the gates at Kiyomizu Temple in kyoto. i had to go here with the english club. their job was to approach foreigners and ask them if they'd like to get a free guided tour around the temple. if you're wondering why it's such a shitty looking picture, it's because my genius of a supervisor took it.

so, i thought that i'd go with the english club to kyoto cuz the school would pay for my transportation fee and part of the hotel fee. we left early saturday morning. little did i forget....uh....I HATE THE ENGLISH CLUB. oops...small minor detail. i like maybe 3 of the girls. i have another one of those students that doesn't answer me in the club. it seems to be a japanese trait. they just can't get around to telling you, "no" or "i don't know." they just kind of trail off...........................................

so, that picture was taken sunday, october 31, 2004. halloween! it was a trip because one of our students collapsed and had a seizure. crazy shit. seriously...teachers in japan need to have more training. they can't do shit. i didn't see her cuz i had to stay and watch all of our stuff. the ambulance came to the temple and everything! what an exciting day. my supervisor had to go to the hospital with her...we ended up having to cut the day short an hour. awwwww...too bad.
